Barista for Restaurant Associates in a Specialty Coffee Shop (Not a Typical Corporate Account)

Job Summary:

Persons who provide knowledgeable, courteous, and outstanding customer service while making excellent coffee. Only candidates with at least two years of fast-paced barista/cafe/restaurant experience will be considered. This job requires someone with a wealth of experience preparing coffee and espresso-based beverages as well as working in a kitchen. We are looking for baristas who have a passion for coffee, tea, and espresso, and can stay cool under pressure. He/She must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with others, including giving and receiving feedback on all aspects of service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve all Guests a superb Coffee or Espresso Based Beverage.

• Provide information about current menu items to all clientele confidently and accurately.

• Greet and interact with all customers while preparing great drinks.

• Training and developing current and new coffee bar employees.

• Providing the best quality coffee daily. Tasting and understanding coffee to ensure perfection.

• Maintaining a clean and full coffee bar throughout shift.

• Create and suggest better ideas and programs to

help better serve our guests.

• Experience with La Marzocco and Mazzer products as well as knowledge of local coffee and current coffee trends. Latte art proficiency. Knowledge of V60, Kalitta Wave, and Chemex Brewing processes

• Having fun at work while getting the job done and keeping it real.

Job Requirements:

• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch.

• The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 40 pounds

• Maintain RA Hospitality Standards

40+ hour work week.
Monday – Friday (no weekends)
