We are an independent, locally-owned coffee-roasting company founded by Mike McConnell in 1995. We are pioneers of the Farm Direct movement and meticulously source the best coffee available. We work with farmers who are committed to sustainable practices. Customer service is as important to us as the coffee.

THE JOB

We are looking for highly motivated café managers to build a team of world class baristas as we continue to grow our retail cafes in New York City.  We have one open café now and another on the way.  Ideal candidate could assist in supporting one or both locations depending on fit.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years in specialty food industry
• Prior people management experience
• Advanced knowledge of the specialty coffee and tea markets
• Salesmanship and practical merchandising skills
• Experience with hiring, training and team-building
• Diplomacy in managing conflict
• Goal-oriented and proven ability to beat project deadlines
• Solution oriented approach to challenges
• Multi-tasking skills
• On-the-job flexibility and dependability
• Ability to interpret and analyze income statements
