Position:  Customer Service Associate

Start Date: ASAP

Time Requirements: Full Time (40 hours/week)


Overview:

Stumptown is seeking to fill the position for a Customer Service Associate.  This position entails interfacing with all of Stumptown’s wholesale customers, retail customers, wholesale inquiries from potential new clients, and general inquiries from the public.


This individual will also work closely with the production floor, the roasting team, and with all Stumptown departments, in order to deliver excellent customer service. It is an entry-to mid-level position, with opportunities to grow.


Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

PRIMARY:

  • Act as key wholesale interface in the office, overall HQ.
  • Serve as the voice that every Stumptown customer (wholesale, retail, ship-to, etc.) interacts with, daily.
  • Manage the wholesale call list.
  • Fulfill and expedite daily orders, working closely with the roastery and production floor.
  • Field initial wholesale inquiry calls.
  • Work in Quickbooks: Manage wholesale and financial information.
  • Assist with wholesale account receivables (AR).
  • Help account managers address and prioritize wholesale account needs and issues.
  • Update and maintain all wholesale account files and documentation.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and utilize customer contact lists.
  • Educate wholesale customers on the current coffee offering, leveraging information from roasters and green coffee department.
  • Improve on and offer suggestions for new approaches to the overall wholesale processes and systems.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the office — shredding and filing.


Experience and Strengths sought:

  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for coffee and desire to educate others.
  • Ability to deliver customer service the “Stumptown Way”.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and problem solve; think on your feet.
  • Good with, and comfortable talking about money.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, MS Office, other basic computer tools and financial fundamentals.
  •  Ability to manage and prioritize daily and weekly tasks and handle stress with ease.
  •  Flexible schedule and availability.
