Full-Time Culinary Lead

Job Description

The Culinary Lead drives quality and profitability primarily by:
Participating in the hiring process
Training new BOH hires
Improving vendor relationships
Monitoring store performance (Quality Control)
Providing thoughtful/analytical recommendations on staffing, workflow and menu improvements.

Drives quality through:
-Food program quality audits and improvement plans
-DOH preparedness checklists and mock inspections
-Maintaining recipes and COGs for all food items
-Working with retail leadership and marketing team to support successful roll out of new product
-aintaining DOH inspection calendar
-Developing in-store and to-go menus and product lists

Leads training through:
-Onboarding and training new kitchen team members
-Developing SOPs and training checklists for all BOH processes and positions

Improves vendor relationships through:
-Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors including ensuring best pricing and negotiating as needed
-Maintaining market comps for product and pricing

Must have 3+ years kitchen experience, be a self starter and have strong communication skills.

Pay rate is $23/hour plus 2 weeks PTO, metrocard, cell reimbursement and participation in company healthcare and 401K plans.
