Queen City Coffee Roasters in Plainfield, NJ is looking for a full time barista/Cafe Manager to join our core team. We are located on 200 Court Place. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, reliable and invested in the community of Plainfield and their mission aligns with ours. We welcome applications from experienced Baristas looking to move into management or Managers who can work 4-5 bar shifts.

Responsibilities

Prepare hot and cold drinks in accordance with customer needs.
Follow health and safety guidelines Interact with customers regularly and professionally.
Welcoming customers, accepting orders & payments, making coffee drinks, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers.
Effectively communicating coffee offerings to customers and guiding customers through menu & answering questions.

Qualifications

Proven working experience as a barista
High integrity with a great attendance record
Strong attention to detail
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
A polite, engaging, warm and welcoming personality & a commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Willingness to work as part of a team and ability to adapt to change easily.
Available to work shifts between 6am – 7pm weekdays and weekends.

Manager Candidates must be able to run the business effectively: including trainings, scheduling, inventory management, ordering etc.

Starting pay during training is $10 hourly/but $12 post training period. Salary negotiable for cafe managers.
