Job Description

Variety Coffee Roasters is a New York specialty coffee roaster, founded in 2008. Variety currently has cafés in Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bushwick, Chelsea and the Upper East Side, as well as a roastery and training lab in East Williamsburg.
Variety believes that coffee should be fun. While we take our coffee seriously, we try not to take ourselves too seriously. Seriously.

The production assistant will be responsible for packaging and fulfilling all orders in the roastery, including bagging, boxing, picking orders, packaging for mailorder, as well as brewing, bottling and kegging cold brew. The production assistant will also help maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the roastery. They may also need to drive the delivery van on occasion.

Duties:
Fulfillment of orders
Cold brew production
Cleaning, maintaining, and organizing roasting facility
Proficient with G-suit and basic computer knowledge
Support team members as needed
Complete local coffee deliveries via the delivery van

Qualifications:
1+ years production experience preferred
Ability to lift at least 50lbs required
Valid NY State driver license/clean driving record required*
Comfortable driving a van in the city preferred*
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time (at least 8 hours per day and 5 days a week)
General interest and knowledge in specialty coffee
Available Monday – Friday 8:00a – 4:00p
