Virgin Islands Coffee Roasters is looking for people who are enthusiastic about creating a distinct, educated, and unmatched coffee experience.  We are an expanding wholesale coffee roaster with a retail coffee bar in a gourmet market, with further expansion plans in the works.

General Responsibilities:

•Demonstrate an enthusiastic desire to work with coffee.

• Efficiently create all drinks in a timely, organized manner with little to no waste.

•Ability to function and be efficient within a team.

•Be capable of executing multiple tasks at once.

•Be capable of remaining composed under stress.

•Exemplify exceptional customer service and professionalism.

•Maintain an organized and methodical work style and clean work space.

•Retain coffee specific knowledge of our current offerings, being capable of responding to questions about our coffees.

•Maintain strict inventory levels on all incidentals related to fantastic coffee preparation.

•Be able to recognize a majority of all regular guests by name and drink.

•Be responsible for store closing/opening.

•Be responsible for scheduling.

•Hold coffee tastings at various locations and events.

Work with roaster and attend cuppings.

•Be willing to assist with tasks outside scope of work if needed.

We are looking for a long-term fill for this position. This position has upward mobility for the proven person including an expanded managerial role up to the director of coffee. Position is 4 plus days a week, from 7am-2pm… as well as more shifts in season. Compensation based on experience.
