Job Description

Solid State Coffee is a cafe and roaster on the Upper West Side of Manhattan at 71st and Columbus Ave. We are a coffee forward shop with an expanding baking and food program. We exclusively serve single origin coffees in fairly frequent rotation.

We are looking for an experienced barista to join the team. Our business has grown rapidly over the last few months and we need someone who can seamlessly jump on board and help us grow the business.

The ideal candidate is first and foremost a person who is friendly to others. We have built a loyal following through serving excellent products as well as making the cafe a place that feels good to be in. We also strive to be good coworkers to one another so we as a staff also enjoy being here.

In addition, you would have experience brewing and serving light roast coffees and be able to get the most out of any given coffee on various brewing methods. Being able to move through rushes quickly and efficiently without compromising quality is also imperative.

We are looking to fill two to three weekday shifts and one weekend shift on an ongoing basis.
