public records is hiring an all-star barista for The Cafe. connecting a vegan restaurant, music venue, and bar in a hi-fi, music-driven space, our team works closely together to maintain a high level of excellence and attention to detail in all areas

working under the cafe manger, you will be responsible for opening and closing the cafe, maintaining a retail space, and serving excellent coffee to cool people

the cafe:
– we serve deep coffee, a third-wave roaster from marseille, france
– the space is both a cafe and a store for independent magazines, curated records, and PR apparel
– on weekdays, the cafe offers beer, wine, and aperitivi alongside coffee and vegan pastries
– on weekends, the cafe operates independently while also making drinks for brunch guests

the job:
– top notch ability to dial in espresso and follow brew parameters
– be fast on your feet, organized, and able to maintain extreme cleanliness during all hours
– comfort producing latte art with non-dairy milk, using basic bar tools to make drinks, and handling various types of glassware
– weekday and weekend availability a must
– bonus points for experience serving beer and wine

must have a new york food handlers card or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of hiring
