Job Summary:
Joe Coffee Service Technicians are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dedicated coffee professionals serving to support retail and wholesale equipment operations and enhancing coffee quality through the maintenance, repair, and service of coffee brewing equipment.This is accomplished within a team of service technicians, wholesale representatives, and a dedicated education department who work collaboratively to ensure equipment workflow is operationally efficient and that maintenance service operates with minimal downtime.
Familiarity with tools is necessary, but most important is the ability to adapt quickly to stressful situations with tact and provide knowledge to peers and clients in a helpful way. The ability to maintain organization of inventory, communications, and projects is critical to the success of the service department and key internal/external relationships.

Key responsibilities and duties*:
- Remote and in-field service calls for coffee brewers, grinders, semi-automatic and super-automatic espresso machines, cold brew kegerators, etc. (e.g., repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment installations, decommissions, and consultations, etc.)
- Maintaining parts inventory, building service invoices, maintaining service reports and records, ordering and receiving equipment for new locations, etc.
- Rebuilding equipment in the service department for larger repair projects.
- Managing equipment procurement and installation for new locations and equipment upgrades/roll-outs.
- Communicating status updates, repair solutions, timelines, etc. to internal Joe teams and retail locations as well as with external wholesale partners.
- Conduct machine software updates with fundamental computer knowledge.
- May be required to work overtime as circumstances dictate.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2+ years barista experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to lift/pull/push 50+ pounds individually.
- Ability to read, follow, understand, and communicate instructional manuals.
- Must display initiative and ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Must possess and regularly demonstrate:

- Reliable, accountable, and professional demeanor with clients
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess and regularly demonstrate common safety practises within contexts involving electricity, water, heavy loads, driving, and situational and spacial awareness especially in crowded environments.
