Job Description

We are seeking a full time barista with an experience serving in a cafe setting.
We are looking to move through different stations (cashier, food running/maintenance) before we can get to the bar working with coffee.
We emphasize in seeking to understand the big picture before we can get into the nitty gritty of coffee world. We want to know if you can understand the big picture then tackle all the finest detail to deliver the best cup possible.
Once all the stations have been mastered, we will focus on learning, tasting and discussing on all the coffee related work. Once working on the bar, everyone is still required to do all the other tasks.

We believe in hard-work coupled with critical thinking making sensible decisions throughout the day. Common sense is a must.

Our tips are pooled based on the hours worked.
Hourly rates begin at $15 per hour with a raise to $16 after 60 day period with potential to grow based on candidate’s ability. With the proven track record, Barista rates will go up with frequent reviews. Tips will add a steady amount to the base pay (anywhere from $8 – $12/hour daily). We average 400 transactions per day.

Currently we are open Mon-Fri, 7am to 4pm Mon/Fri, 7am to 7pm Tues-Thursday and opening Sundays from 9am to 3pm. Busiest hours are in the morning and in the afternoon, but we often have private events after 4pm.
We are looking for an early riser as our opening shift begins at 630am. Must be able to work on Sundays.
