Job Description

We are seeking a full time cashier with an experience serving in a cafe setting.
We are looking to move through different stations (cashier, food running/maintenance) before we can get to the bar working with coffee.
We emphasize in seeking to understand the big picture before we can get into the nitty gritty of coffee world.
Once all the stations have been mastered, we will focus on learning, tasting and discussing on all the coffee related work. Once working with the bar, everyone is still required to do all the other tasks. Our baristas do not stand behind the espresso machine all day.

We believe in hard-work coupled with critical thinking making sensible decisions throughout the day. Common sense is a must.

Our tips are pooled based on the hours worked.
Hourly rates begin at $15 per hour with a raise to $16 after 90 day period with potential to grow based on candidate’s ability. Tips will add a steady amount to the base pay. We average 400 transactions per day.

Currently we are open Mon-Fri, 7am to 4pm Mon/Fri, 7am to 7pm Tues-Thursday and opening Sundays from 9am to 3pm. Busiest hours are in the morning and in the afternoon, but we often have private events after 4pm.
We are not specifically looking for an AM person or a PM person. We have some degree of flexibility with scheduling. We can discuss! Must be able to work Sundays.
