Job Description

Seeking experienced barista / cashier for a coffee shop in Astoria.

Ideal candidate:

-Naturally friendly and eager to deliver exceptional service

-Knowledgeable and interested in specialty coffee

-Can diagnose espresso extraction issues and correct

-Can steam milk to specified textures and temperatures

-Can pour latte art at a basic level

-Has flexible availability with interest in taking on more hours and responsibility if the fit is good

-Is in or around Astoria, or has a very short commute

-Is punctual and reliable and has no issues with early morning shifts.

Job Description, including but not limited to:

-Greet customers and take orders

-Ring up customers using a Square POS system

-Make drinks (pull espresso, steam milk)

-Cleaning, all areas

-Wash dishes

Position starts at $8.00 + tips (that end up being about $3-4 per hour additional) with room for growth.
