Job Description

We are seeking a FULL-TIME Head Barista for the opening of our café. We are looking for someone who is passionate and wants to grow with us.
Responsibilities Include:
LEADERSHIP
Cultivate a healthy and fun work environment
Lead by example in all aspects of customer service and in general
model a positive attitude
Set a high standard with respect to brewing and service, as well as continuing education in the areas of coffee and tea for fellow baristas.
COFFEE QUALITY
Work with our BK roaster, Superlost, to attain the highest understanding of their products and how best to ensure the drinks served are at their peak and work with colleagues to ensure high level of coffee knowledge among staff
CAFE OPERATIONS
Oversee cafe’s Barista-related inventory and ordering
Be responsible for cash handling
STORE APPEARANCE
Keep cafe in constant compliance with NYC DOH standards, meeting highest expectations upon inspection
Work with employees to ensure shift change cleanliness expectations are being met
Ensure that any customer-facing area is always clean and presentable
Qualifications:
2+ years specialty coffee experience required
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

The position is required to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly wage of $25 plus tips.
Other benefits: 40 hours paid vacation, $500 bonus after 6 months with the company
and additional $500 after 1 year with the company.
