Silence Please is a hi-fi speaker company based in New York, specializing in high-end, analog speakers. Alongside our focus on sound and design, we operate a cafe that serves as a welcoming space for customers to enjoy high-quality coffee, pastries, and music. At our cafe, baristas take pride in offering an elevated coffee experience while fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a customer-service-forward cafe environment that is warm, personable, and inviting to everyone.
• Work with a rotating menu of coffees and teas, maintaining exacting standards and staying up to date on our offerings.
• Work quickly and efficiently during busy periods with ease.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the bar area, adhering to sanitation/health regulations and company policies.
• Run drinks to guests’ tables and offer continued service throughout their stay.
• Foster an upbeat, positive, and welcoming cafe environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience with light-roast coffee is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in cafes, restaurants, or other hospitality environments.

Compensation:

• $20/hour + tips.

Schedule Needs:

• Full-time and part-time roles available.

Physical Demands:

• Able to stand and walk around the cafe for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently with hands and feet.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects, such as coffee supplies or equipment.
