JOB DETAILS:

Bonjour! I am looking for an enthusiastic barista to join my small business by offering exceptional customer service.

Atelier Ariana is a café and pâtisserie in Carroll Gardens. It is a space to bring French-inspired foods, teas, coffees, and other beverages to Brooklyn. Our menus feature seasonal, unique recipes made in-house.

An ideal candidate will see the value in artisanal products and be eager to share them with current and future customers. Someone who is personable, adaptable, and works toward the goals of the team will be a valuable addition.

This is a part time position. You will be responsible for either opening or closing shifts Wednesday through Sunday. Current shifts are as follows: Wednesday and Thursday 1-7PM, Friday 6:30AM-12:30PM, Saturday 12-7PM, Sunday 8AM-3PM. The current schedule will be 28 paid hours per week, with future potential for more hours.

REQUIREMENTS:
An ideal candidate must be
• Adaptable and flexible
• Able to work on a team, as well as independently
• Approachable and respectable to all customers (as well as staff)
• Eager to work for a small business and ready to tackle all tasks including: service, cleaning, dishwashing, and any other items that might come up
• Ideal candidates will have experience in specialty coffee
• Ready to join a hardworking team who works diligently to ensure customers have a great experience and the entire team reaches their goals!

COMPENSATION:
$17/hour + pooled tips

QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate in Food Protection (ideal)
