Position Overview:

As we kick-off our first venture into premium coffee, we’re looking for a high-energy, people-loving Barista to craft quality beverages, deliver outstanding service, and keep our vibrant shop running smoothly. You’ll be the face of our café—welcoming guests, preparing espresso drinks, and helping showcase the best carrot cake in the world (yes, really).

Key Responsibilities:

Drink & Service Excellence:
• Prepare coffees, espresso drinks, teas, juices, smoothies and other hot & cold beverages with consistency and care.
• Maintain deep knowledge of our menu, including our signature cakes and seasonal offerings.
• Engage with customers warmly and efficiently during busy rushes, always keeping the vibe upbeat and professional.

Bakery Support:
• Assist with displaying, slicing, and packaging our baked goods.
• Communicate with the kitchen team to stay updated on fresh bakes, stock levels, and specials.
• Keep display cases neat, stocked, and irresistible.

Cleanliness & Efficiency:
• Maintain a spotless and organized barista station.
• Support general cleaning tasks throughout the day (sweeping, sanitizing, dishwashing, etc.).
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Cash Handling & Flow:
• Operate POS systems quickly and accurately.
• Manage lines and orders with calm, clear communication during high-volume periods.

• Have barista or café experience and are eager to learn fast.
• Have a NYC Food Protection Certification (preferred).
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and love being part of a team.
