About Us
Latte Da is a new coffee shop bringing something different to Bay Ridge: coffee that’s really fresh. We’ve partnered with Devoción, who get Colombian beans from farm to cup in just 10 days – not the industry standard of 6 months sitting in warehouses. We’re committed to high-quality ingredients, everything made fresh daily, and creating a space that feels like your neighborhood spot should: welcoming, unpretentious, and built for both the quick morning grab and the slow afternoon hang. Where the coffee’s exceptional, the vibe is easy, and you’re treated like a regular from day one.

The Role
We’re looking for experienced baristas who genuinely care about the craft – people who can pull a proper shot, steam milk to perfection, and take pride in what they put in front of customers. But beyond technique, we want someone who gets it: hospitality matters, the space matters, and showing up with good energy matters.

You’ll be part of building something from the ground up, with real opportunities to grow into a leadership role as we establish ourselves in the neighborhood.

What You’ll Do
– Pull consistent, dialed-in espresso shots and craft quality drinks
– Keep the café clean, organized, and welcoming throughout your shift
– Greet customers with genuine warmth (not scripted, just human)
– Learn and share our story — the 10-day freshness angle, why we do what we do
– Help refine our menu and operations as we find our rhythm
– Open or close the café independently once trained
– Contribute ideas to improve flow, service, and the customer experience
– Grow into a shift lead or management role as the business expands

What We’re Looking For

Required:
– 1-2+ years of barista experience (you know your way around an espresso machine)
– Solid latte art skills (we care about presentation)
– A natural ability to connect with people – friendly, approachable, chill
– Someone who takes initiative and doesn’t need to be micromanaged
– Clean, organized, and detail-oriented (spotless café = non-negotiable)
– Reliable and punctual
– Comfortable working mornings, weekends, and some holidays

Bonus Points:
– You’ve worked at specialty coffee shops before
– You’re into coffee culture and stay curious about origin, roasting, brewing
– You have leadership experience or want to step into management
– You live in or near Bay Ridge (short commute = better quality of life)
