About Driftaway Coffee

Driftaway Coffee is a Brooklyn-based coffee roastery focused on transparency, sustainability, and connection — from farmer to cup. We source green coffee directly from producers and cooperatives around the world, roast fresh each week, and share our coffees through subscriptions, tastings, and educational experiences.

We were recently named Roaster of the Year 2026 by Roast Magazine, and our tasting room is where we bring our mission to life. You’ll be working closely with and learning alongside Driftaway’s founders, Anu Menon and Suyog Mody, in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Tasting Room Host & Educator to join our team part-time (Friday–Sunday). This role blends hospitality and education — creating memorable experiences for guests while sharing deep knowledge about coffee, from sourcing and roasting to brewing and tasting.

You’ll lead guided tastings, pour-over brewing flights, and espresso experiences, helping guests connect the dots between flavor, origin, process, and history. You’ll also uphold an exceptional level of hospitality and attention to detail that reflects Driftaway’s values.
