Silence Please is dedicated to crafting high-end analog speakers that emphasize the true value of sound in its purest form. Our cafe offers the highest quality matcha, tea, coffee and pastries alongside immersive listening experiences.

We are seeking a lead barista to join our team. The lead barista is responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring consistency in beverage quality, and supporting team development. This role combines hands-on barista work with leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate has a passion for music and matcha, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Must be available on weekends.

Responsibilities:
– Prepare and serve high-quality matcha, espresso drinks and teas
– Dial in espresso and maintain coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers)
– Provide attentive customer service answering any questions about the menu as necessary
-Lead shifts, including opening and closing duties
-Train, mentor, and support barista team members
– Assist with scheduling and staffing of cafe and events
-Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
-Maintain cleanliness of the café, including counters, equipment, and seating areas
– Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications:
– Must have previous barista experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
– Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends
– Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Compensation:
– $24 an hour plus tips
