Job Description

Coffee Project New York is always looking for passionate coffee professionals to join our growing business. You will work alongside our minority and women-led team to support a hospitality-focused coffee culture that is warm, inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

Our starting rate is $18-20 per hour, plus tips, commensurate with experience. Our hourly tips range from $8 to 11.50 per hour.

Baristas with 1 year of experience or more are encouraged to apply. Each new hire is trained on state-of-the-art equipment in our lab before dispatching to their assigned location.

Our ideal Barista:

  • Has a passion for specialty coffee and can learn extensively about our menu and the products served.
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Enjoys hospitality, has an upbeat temperament, and is a team player in a busy, upscale café setting.
  • Performs reliably at a high level with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Can receive and implement constructive direction and coaching.
  • Has, or is willing to obtain, their NYC Food Protection Certificate.
Major duties include:
  • Cashier/Front End Service.
  • Sharing information about our coffee.
  • Brewing espresso-based beverages, making filter coffee and pour overs.
  • Basic assembling sandwiches and heating pastries.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Restocking inventory.
