Dear Coffee NYC is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Lead to join our team for our upcoming Chelsea location! Full time and part time positions available.

We are looking for opening team members to help launch our new Chelsea location. Selected candidates will train at our UES location until Chelsea opens.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the team during shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Ability to dial in coffee, steam milk, and prepare other drinks in accordance with company recipes and standards.
• Provide a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring a positive experience for every guest.
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and dining areas.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
• Communicate effectively with team members and proactively resolve any issues that arise during the shift.
• • Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently to keep operations running smoothly.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a supervisory role required.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso machinery.
• Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure calmly.
• Availability to work both weekdays and weekends, including mornings, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• NYC Food Handler’s Certificate required.

Compensation:

• Shift Lead: $29/hr.
