Fazenda

Fazenda is a Brazil-inspired coffee shop and beer bar in Nolita, set inside a curated, premium multibrand menswear store. We’re bringing together specialty coffee, Brazilian-style beer, and great style in one space. We’re looking for an experienced lead barista to help bring that vision to life.

What You’ll Do as the Lead Barista

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee and espresso-based drinks at a high level of craft and consistency
• Lead daily bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, stocking, and quality control
• Pour and serve beer, maintaining proper handling and presentation standards
• Train, support, and oversee other baristas, setting the tone for hospitality and technique
• Help dial in espresso, manage equipment maintenance, and maintain coffee quality standards
• Deliver warm, attentive hospitality that reflects the Fazenda brand and its Brazilian roots
• Educate guests and team members on the menu, sharing the story and craft behind Fazenda
• Partner with management on scheduling, ordering, and day-to-day decisions

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a barista required; comfortable using and maintaining grinders and commercial espresso machines, preferably a La Marzocco Linea Classic
• Specialty coffee experience required, including hands-on espresso and latte art skills
• Prior experience leading, training, or managing a small team preferred
• Strong communicator with a calm, hospitable presence under pressure
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Food handlers license (Food Protection Certificate) or willingness to obtain one
• Interest in style, retail, or menswear is a bonus, but not required
• Someone who’s committed and excited about the project
