Le Gaz is looking for a Full-Time & Part-Time Barista to join our team. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, pays attention to the details, and understands that great hospitality starts the moment a guest walks through the door. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced cafe environment, ideal for someone who brings professionalism, consistency, and genuine care to every interaction.

Duties:
– Prepare and serve coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks to standard with speed and consistency.
– Handle food preparation and plating in accordance with safety and quality standards.
– Process transactions accurately using our POS system, including cash and card payments.
– Maintain cash handling responsibilities, including drawer balancing at the end of each shift and tip distribution amongst team members
– Deliver attentive, professional customer service, greeting guests, taking orders, and resolving questions with care.
– Keep all workstations, prep areas, and front-of-house spaces clean and organized throughout your shift.
– Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines without exception.
– Manage your time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining service quality.
– Receive and log weekly and daily deliveries.

Qualifications:
– Previous barista or food service experience preferred; a strong willingness to learn is a must.
– Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, guest-first approach.
– Comfortable operating POS systems and handling basic transaction math.
– Working knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures.
– Strong time management and the ability to multitask under pressure.
– Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work well within a team.
– An active NYS Food Handlers License is required
