Head Barista / Café Lead

We’re looking for a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Head Barista / Café Lead to help create a welcoming experience for both our guests and our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves great coffee & artisanal foods, enjoys connecting with people, and takes pride in helping a café run smoothly from open to close.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, seasonal and crafty food items and upscale retail as well as creating a friendly atmosphere, and making sure every customer feels genuinely cared for. You’ll help lead the daily café operations, support and encourage the barista team, and keep things organized, efficient, and enjoyable—even during the busiest moments.

You’ll play an important role in training new team members and coaching existing teams, maintaining excellent standards for drinks, service, cleanliness, and food safety, and helping the team work well together. You’ll also assist with inventory, ordering, opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and addressing any day-to-day needs that come up.

The ideal person is confident, kind, and calm under pressure. You have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a natural ability to make people feel welcome. Previous barista or café leadership experience is required, but we’re equally interested in someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and genuinely enjoys being part of a community-focused café.
