White Noise Coffee is looking for **experienced specialty coffee baristas** to join our NYC team.

We are looking for candidates who already have hands-on experience working with **specialty coffee** and understand the importance of espresso quality, consistency, proper preparation, and excellent customer service.

### 💰 STARTING PAY: $22/HOUR + TIPS

**$22/hour starting base pay — plus tips.**

## ☕ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

**This is NOT an entry-level barista position.**

Applicants **MUST have:**

✓ A minimum of **6 months of professional barista experience specifically in a specialty coffee environment**

✓ Hands-on experience preparing **espresso-based beverages**

✓ Knowledge and understanding of **specialty coffee**

✓ Experience dialing in espresso and making adjustments to maintain quality and consistency

✓ Experience steaming and texturing milk properly for espresso beverages

✓ An understanding of how grind size, extraction time, dose, and other variables affect espresso quality

**Specialty coffee experience is required. Candidates without professional specialty coffee experience may not be considered for this position.**

Applicants must:

✓ Be available to **work weekends**

✓ Be able and willing to work at **BOTH our Manhattan and Brooklyn locations**

✓ Be reliable and punctual

✓ Be comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment

✓ Have strong customer service and communication skills

✓ Work well as part of a team

## YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare espresso-based drinks, coffee, tea, and other beverages accurately and consistently

• Dial in espresso and make adjustments when necessary to maintain quality

• Properly steam and texture milk for espresso beverages

• Maintain White Noise Coffee’s standards for drink quality and presentation

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service

• Take customer orders and operate the POS system

• Maintain a clean and organized bar and café

• Restock ingredients and supplies

• Complete assigned opening and closing responsibilities

• Follow White Noise Coffee recipes, procedures, and quality standards

• Work efficiently with teammates during busy service periods

This position supports **both White Noise Coffee locations:**

**MANHATTAN + BROOKLYN**

Candidates must be comfortable commuting to and working at **either location based on scheduling needs.**

**Weekend availability is required.**
