Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to run our cafe. This position is perfect for someone who wants to pursue a long-term career in the F&B industry.

Be ready to manage a staff of 10+ in all aspects of customer service and operations. You will be responsible for hiring, training and disciplining all staff. Other staffing duties include placing advertisements and interviewing candidates for front & back of house positions, communicating policies, creating schedules, and payroll . You will also be required to perform cashier or barista duties on a daily basis, as necessary. You will be responsible for administrative duties, such as managing inventory and supplies, scheduling maintenance of store equipment and materials, and preparing bank deposits. The GM must also ensure the restaurant complies with local health and safety codes for eating establishments.

Requirements
• A sincere passion for coffee and the culinary industry
• Excellence in customer service (in person and by email)
• 3+ Years Food/Hospitality Industry
• 2+ Years Managerial Experience of a team of 5 or more
• Barista experience preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Detailed knowledge of Department of Health regulation and attention to cleanliness.
• NYC Food Certificate (or ability to attain one shortly after hire)
• Experience with ordering and inventory management
• Experience with training staff on daily functions
• Meticulous cash handling and bank deposits
• Exceptionally high level of organization and time management and attention to detail
• Proven ability to increase sales and manage cost margins
• Thrives in working in high-energy, high-volume, high-speed environment

As our GM, you will need to be free to work weekends and during holidays. Our hours are from 7am-7pm (Mon-Friday) and 8 am-7pm (Sat-Sun)
