Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the foodservice managers, and in cooperation with established cash handling procedures, serves restaurant customers by coordinating and supervising cashier activity to ensure efficient, accurate cash transactions and the appropriate reconciliation of POS terminal transactions with the highest quality of customer service. . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Supervises staff and ensures a clean, organized and full open or close of business. * Assures that warm and sincere contact is established with each and every customer. * Consistently role models exceptional customer service and performance standards to other cashiers. * Coordinates, supervises and participates in all cashiering activities, assisting other cashiers with issues relating to product knowledge, POS terminal operation, technical malfunctions, customer questions, complaints and concerns. * Exercising product knowledge and understanding of POS terminal operation, completes cash and credit card transactions accurately and completely and as quickly and efficiently as possible. * Keeping loss prevention guidelines in mind at all times, while maintaining absolute confidentiality and discretion, alerts the Food Service Managers to any non-routine or questionable situations. ;* Carry out training and development of all staff to enable them to carry out their own duties and responsibilities * Interviewing, hiring, training and coaching employees * Coordinates staff scheduling, receiving scheduling information from co-managers and resolves scheduling issues and discrepancies to accommodate changing conditions such as budget constraints, special events, absences and vacancies * Participate in employee meetings, reviews and development * Ensure compliance with proper sanitation and cleaning standards * Performs related duties and special projects as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS * Associates college degree preferred * 3-5 years’ experience in food service * Superior customer service and verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent results-orientation, attention to detail and follow through. * Ability to multi-task and work independently, cooperatively, and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment under constantly changing conditions. * Staff scheduling, training and supervisory experience. * Ability to develop, update and maintain manual and automated record keeping systems accurately and completely. * Procurement, receiving and inventory management experience. * POS system (Micros preferred) and cash handling experience. * Excel and Microsoft Office Knowledge |
