Welcome to MATTER. By day a third wave coffee bar; by night Brooklyn’s newest gastropub.

We are searching for a talented Senior Barista with a refined approach  to bringing every cup of coffee to life.

This is a great opportunity for someone excited about exploring the furthest limit of coffee potential by shaping our coffee program and bringing a fresh sense of design to each and every latte, cap, cortado or pour over. This is a great opportunity to leave a lasting impact on our overall barista quality.

We pay a competitive hourly wage based upon experience; no less that $15/ hour.  We require a food handler’s certification; we will accept candidates who are awaiting their exam with the assumption that the certification will be obtained within the first month of employment.

If you’re committed to team building, have demonstrable experience and a high level of skill in the craft of coffee, this is an opportunity to play a key role in building a premier third wave coffee program in the heart of Brooklyn!  If you have 3+ years training and working within a third wave environment and/or 1.5 years as senior barista, this could be an opportunity for you.
