Restaurant cafe seeking a skilled barista.

The cafe is the customer facing entrance of the restaurant located in Soho/Little Italy/Chinatown roughly 1-2 blocks from the N/Q/R/W/J/Z & 6 trains. Candidate should be a team player, energetic and customer service oriented

Experience with the following:
– Dialing in the grind.
– Manual espresso extraction.
– Working within defined extraction parameters (grind weight, extraction time, yield weight).
– Modern milk steaming method and basic latte art.
– Basic machine maintenance (backflushing group heads, removing screens for cleaning, flushing out grinders).
– Ability to multitask and prep of multiple drink orders for walk up customers and in house diners and expediting efficiently.
– Minimum 6 months experience in contemporary specialty coffee.

Pay is competitive.
Part time, flexible with hours.
15-20 hours a week.
We’re open Monday-Sunday, shift blocks are roughly  8am-1pm, 9am-4pm & 12pm-5pm.
