Full-Time All Day Cafe/Restaurant Supervisor
Job Description
Black Fox is seeking an experienced floor supervisor who can grow with the organization, lead our team, and be an integral part of the Black Fox experience.
As one of NYC’s leading specialty coffee providers, we are a progressive organization seeking a like-minded positive leader to oversee the operations of our Broad Street Location.
Black Fox 85 Broad Street is situated on the 30th floor of a commercial building in the heart of the financial district and is an all day 100 seat restaurant/cafe.
Note: This is an in service position and the chosen applicant will work on the floor throughout service
The ideal candidate will have:
– the personality and passion to welcome all customers and get to know our captive audience of building tenants
– an ability to lead our team by example
– a sound knowledge of hospitality; with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
– proven managerial experience in a high volume cafe or restaurant
– the ability to work autonomously and have strong communication skills
– Ability to work on your feet 6-8 hours a day, lift 30lbs and climb stairs
– NYC Food Handler’s Card
– experience with Square, When I Work and Google Docs
– sound knowledge of food and systems required to ensure consistently smooth service
– proven success, and the ability to meet set KPI’s of wage percentages and COGS
– the ability to multitask and direct others to uphold the standards of Black Fox’s service
– show an emphasis on hospitality and customer experience
– the ability to show clear direction to the team and oversee busy FOH, Coffee and Kitchen teams
Bonus Points:
– sound knowledge and experience in specialty coffee
– experience in managing bar/beer, wine and cocktail preparation
– proven experience in multi-tasking and thinking on your feet
