Full-Time Assistant Coffee Roaster
Job Description
Did you know that freshly roasted coffee doesn’t mean the coffee was fresh to begin with?
As America’s freshest specialty coffee provider, Devocion is the only roaster that roasts fresh green beans. In fact, Devocion’s green beans are roasted on average 15 to 30 days from the moment they leave the dry mill at origin (and as fast as 10 days), while the specialty coffee industry averages 6 months, and roasts up to a year old coffee beans!
Being the only coffee roaster that guarantees fresh coffee beans before roasting, Devocion has made a name for itself as one of the best roasters in America since its inception. Devocion is growing fast and is now looking for an Assistant Coffee Roaster to join our team and journey.
Devocion’s Assistant Coffee Roaster must have a deep love and respect for coffee, be a perceptive multi-tasker, working with a sense of urgency and purpose to accomplish tasks efficiently and well. They must be a collaborator at their core. Be empathetic and hospitable, always eager to listen, understand, learn, and field questions for your team and partners. Be self-motivated and have experience working in a fast-paced environment (ideally in production)
Devocion’s Assistant Coffee Roaster will work directly with Devocion’s Master Roaster and Quality Assessment Manager, to help the company’s roasting and production, while strengthening our mission of transporting customers to origin through our freshness and coffee experience.
The Assistant Coffee Roaster will be responsible for all the tasks given to them by the master roaster, including but not limited to roasting, packaging, and setting up cuppings for quality control.

coffee is packed to perfection
