As a New York City-born and bred coffee company with 8 (and counting) bustling locations and roughly 80 team members, we are seeking a driven, hands-on leader to join our retail leadership team. The Assistant Director of Retail is a field-based role responsible for overseeing operations across 4 café locations. This is a highly operational, fast-paced position that requires equal parts strategic thinking and on-the-ground execution.

You’ll spend most of your time in stores—working side by side with our baristas and café managers to uphold the highest standards in hospitality, coffee, and operations. That means jumping on bar when needed, coaching teams in the moment, setting and enforcing expectations, and rolling up your sleeves to help fix what’s broken (sometimes literally). You’ll lead with empathy, but you won’t shy away from tough conversations or high expectations. You’ll work closely with the Director of Retail, your fellow Assistant Director, and our Retail Trainer to bring consistency, energy, and excellence to every corner of the café experience.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in motion, is energized by people and problem-solving, and can balance day-to-day coaching with long-term planning. If you love coffee, care seriously about leadership, and believe that standards and culture go hand in hand—we want to meet you.

This is a full time, in-person position working across NYC. Applicants should be prepared to lift 50+ lbs, travel via public transportation, and work on their feet. The compensation for this role includes bonuses, 3 weeks (120 hours) of PTO + paid company holidays and 5 sick days.
