Position Overview:
As an Assistant Loring Operator, you will work in our roasting facility and report directly to the Operations Lead. This position is responsible for assisting the Loring Operator with the handling of green beans, roasting beans, blending beans, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, recording accurate production information and maintaining product flow within the scheduled timeline with minimal down time and upholding the quality and integrity of the brand through care, attention to detail, and commitment for excellence.

What You’ll Do:
You will assist the Loring operator with the following:
Operating roasting machines (Loring) and other devices for production.
Loading green coffee as needed to support roasting and packaging operations.
Following roast profiles to maintain proper color and blends of coffees.
Maintaining scheduled production output to meet team goals.
Maintaining accurate roasting logs, greens coffee usage, and other records.
Maintaining accurate inventory through use of a computerized inventory system.
Maintaining equipment in the roasting area and keep the roasting facility informed of all equipment issues.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Following all safety and security guidelines.
Maintaining regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Performing any other duties/tasks that may be assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Passion for coffee
Computer literacy required.
Must have the ability to lift upwards of 132 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to read and write in the English language.
Basic experience with hand tools.
Working knowledge of mathematics
Ability to climb in and out of confined spaces periodically to complete cleaning tasks.
Detail oriented
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Work well in a team environment
Must be able to fulfill manual labor

Compensation:
$17 – 22/hour evaluated by previous work experience that highlights a good work ethic, attention to detail and dependability! This is a part-time role with potential for hours to grow.
