Full-Time Assistant Manager

Job Description

Summary – achieve great store financial performance and customer satisfaction by leading (coaching and inspiring) your store team

Roles and responsibilities:
-Manage and contribute to daily functions of store operations (ensure the work is getting done)
-Utilize store support resources (Culinary Manager, Retail Eductor, In-Store Trainer, Regional Manager) to optimize store performance (product quality, throughput, consistency, customer experience)
-Inspect store regularly and ensure corrective action is taken as necessary (short-term and long-term)
-Examine staff regularly, including their work product, and ensure corrective action is taken as necessary (short-term and long-term)
-Recommend staff schedules weekly based on store staffing model and ensure corrective action is taken as necessary (short-term and long-term)
-Utilize all information available, including financial reports and information systems, to inform recommendations and actions
-Pitch in where necessary to achieve great results, including speaking up and thoughtfully highlighting opportunities to Regional Manager, Head of Retail and CEO
-Implement corporate programs, as needed
-Manage and improve daily store leadership tasks, e.g.: daily paylocity tasks, daily invoice scanning tasks, daily inventory/ordering tasks, etc.

Outcomes:
-Increased sales through better customer experience (Product, Service, Décor), Faster throughput, Higher check averages
-Decrease costs:
–COGS through less waste, reduce “shrinkage”, portion control, etc.
–Payroll through awareness of throughput and corresponding staffing needs, lower turnover…less training
–Other, e.g. utilities, through tighter management
–Standardize all aspects of the business…this make our company easier to manage, but should not jeopardize other goals

Compensation and Benefits:
-Competitive hourly pay rate $20-$24 / hour DOE
-Tips when working counter shifts
-Opportunity to participate in company health insurance after 90 days of employment at 50% employer contribution
-Opportunity to participate in company 401K plan after 1 year of employment with 4% employer matching
-Cell phone reimbursement, up to $75/month

This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, travel up and down stairs and the ability to stand on your feet for up to 8 hours.
