Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our roastery production team as an Assistant Roaster to help with day to day order fulfillment and roasting operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Roasting coffee for production under supervision
• Labeling and filling bags
• Pick, pack, and process orders for shipment and delivery
• Operate weigh-and-fill machine and heat sealer
• Maintain organization and a clean workspace
• Assist with receiving and storing supplies
• Follow all SOPs, food safety procedures, and our HACCP plan
• Assist with local deliveries and drop-offs to the post office
• Support other roastery operations as needed as job responsibilities can change according to operational needs

We roast specialty grade coffee on a vintage Probat UG45 roaster and use Cropster.

What We’re Looking For:

• Enthusiasm for specialty coffee and a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent schedule
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and a production environment
• Attention to detail
• Warehouse, food production, or coffee experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and forklift operation experience a plus

Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing for extended periods, walking throughout the facility, and repetitive hand and wrist movements. The role also involves climbing stairs and ladders and the ability to perceive mechanical sound cues as well as lifting, carrying and repositioning green and roasted coffee bags and bins. Ability to team-lift up to 150 pounds and lift 70 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
