Bright Side and Shop are both Australian-inspired all day cafes located in Williamsburg. We are a small/local business, with a fast-paced team that can multi-task (making coffee whilst greeting customers and entering orders all at the same time).

We are looking for a skilled barista with serving experience. The role will also consist of making amazing coffee, greeting customers, taking orders, offering menu suggestions, running out food and drinks and clearing tables as well as dishwashing, restocking and cleaning. The ideal candidate for this role is extremely personable both with the customers, as well as also your fellow staff members.

A minimum of 2 years barista experience is required in specialty coffee, plus serving experience is preferred. Not only will you be serving up delicious and beautiful coffee, but you will be providing amazing customer service in a cheerful manner to the local community, giving our customers some friendly banter throughout their day.

There is room for growth within our business. We are looking for people that want to step up to more supervisory/leadership positions, and with the right candidate this step could be expedited.

Current cafe hours are:
SHOP: 8am-4pm every day
BRIGHT SIDE: 7am-4pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends

Compensation is an hourly rate based on experience plus tips (25-30 per hour combined).
We also provide free shift meals (and they are delicious)!

• 2+ years of barista/serving experience
• Latte art skills preferred
• Able to work fast while maintaining high quality standards
• Able to work well as part of a team and also by yourself
• Exceptional customer service with a warm welcoming attitude
• Must be available to work weekends (looking for 4-5 days per week)

*Must have valid working permit/visa/citizenship (however we will also consider sponsorship for the right person!)
