Exciting opportunity to be a Barista at Kingston’s newest coffee spot, KINGSTON SOCIAL, opening Memorial Day weekend 2024! We are looking for a talented Barista to join our team!
If you have a robust experience in specialty coffee shops, have a thorough knowledge and passion for coffee, have an outstanding sense for customer service, and you believe in the art of great Italian coffee, Kingston Social is the place for you.
Our objective with KINGSTON SOCIAL is to provide an authentic European café experience to our customers, where cafés are places where you come, sit down and spend time with the person you’re with while enjoying an exceptional espresso, rather than turn it into a moment of productivity.
You will be working in a warm and welcoming environment that will become a favorite of locals and visitors alike for years to come.

General Responsibilities

-Dial in espresso machine each shift and make appropriate adjustments throughout the day to maintain quality standards and great tasting espresso
-Set up/shut down the coffee station at the end of each day
-Practice proper cleaning and preventative maintenance for espresso and brewing equipment
-Maintain inventories and stock of paper goods and beverage products
-Provide exceptional service in a friendly, kind and efficient way to all guests, quickly and under pressure
-Keep a clean and organized station and storefront at all times
-Collaborate with and supports all team members
-Comfortable taking orders and other aspects of café service

Qualifications and Requirements:

-Passionate about coffee
-Barista experience in specialty coffee shops – latte art, dialing in, tasting espresso, grinding, tamping and control of extraction time
-Maintain quality standards in a fast paced environment
-Reliable, punctual, and positive
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
-Detail oriented
-Flexible schedule; able to work week-ends and holidays
-Barista Certified is a plus

Hourly pay based on experience starts at $18 plus tips
