LAOBRA CAFÉ is a communal space for creators designed for thoughtful exploration of great ideas. We currently serve SEY Coffee, using LaMarzocco equipment, made by skilled and thoughtful baristas.

We’re looking for a skilled barista who is passionate about learning about and committing to “Unreasonable Hospitality.” They must also be excited to share their enthusiasm for an exciting and ever evolving coffee program with our guests.

The role will also consist of making perfectly dialed in espresso, greeting guests, taking orders, offering menu suggestions, and running out drinks. The ideal candidate for this role is extremely personable both with our guests, as well as also their fellow team members.

Of course the hope is that you’d want to spend your weekends here building a community with us, but this job’s schedule can be malleable to yours as the summer months roll in. This year we’re expanding our café schedule, exploring custom roasts with excellent roasters, packaging coffee and tea, and hosting exciting workshops during café service. A minimum of 2 years barista experience is required in specialty coffee, plus serving experience is preferred.

SCHEDULE — Saturdays, Sundays 11AM – 5PM
COMPENSATION — $24/hr (Plus Tip)

• 2+ years of barista/serving experience
• Exceptional customer service with a warm welcoming attitude
• Able to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Must be available to work weekends
• Latte art skills required
• If no longer working within coffee, no more than 6 months since prior barista job is required
