Bright Side is an Australian-inspired all day cafe located in Williamsburg. We are a high-volume business, with a fast-paced team that can multi-task.

We are looking for a skilled and multi-talented Barista. The role will consist of preparing beverages, greeting customers, table service, taking orders, offering menu suggestions, running food and drinks and clearing tables as well as restocking and cleaning.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality espresso-based beverages with skill and experience.
• Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
• Take customers’ orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide table service as required.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately.
• Provide menu recommendations and answer customer inquiries regarding food and beverages.
• Up-sell and suggest additional items to enhance the dining experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and well-maintained throughout the shift.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating to management when necessary.
• Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized cafe environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Proven Barista Experience: Strong understanding of espresso and brewing practices.
• Latte Art Skills: Ability to create visually appealing latte art is highly desirable.
• Efficiency & Excellence Focus: Deliver drinks efficiently with a commitment to excellence.

• Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Familiarity with cash handling and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
