Thea is the brand new Fort Greene project from Chef Tomer Blechman of Miss Ada, Nili and Theodora. The bakery is a continuation of the work we are doing at Theodora, centered around warm hospitality, fresh baked bread and pastries, house-made provisions and a creative sandwich program.

We are looking for skilled and experienced baristas to join our team. The right candidate for this role will have experience as a barista in a high volume specialty cafe and an interest in being part of a growing and evolving space. There are opportunities in the space for management, shift lead, and other supervisory roles.

The front of house team will work closely with our Executive Pastry Chef and Savory Chef on a day to day level to ensure a warm and genuine guest experience. The team will be overseen by a Front of House manager with active involvement from the company’s Director of Operations and owners.

The role will include AM and PM shifts, with options to work as both a barista or on the register. The role will be centered around hospitality, menu knowledge, and a sense of community building.

Physical Requirements:
Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 7 hours]

Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily

Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving.
