About us:
Dae Day Coffee is new specialty coffee shop opening in Midtown, Manhattan. We are professional, innovative and our goal is to share amazing coffees from all over the world with our customers across the United States. We source and roast our own coffee and we take great pride in everything that we do.

We’re looking for baristas who are self-driven, punctual, and hard-working. Ideally, you’d be a great barista with experience in high quality, high volume environments. Even more ideally, you’d be a great human being with good energy and a genuine love for coffee AND people.

We’re looking to partner with the right candidates long term as we aim to open shops throughout the city.

The above represents the expected hourly range for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your experience and other job-related factors.

What you’ll do:
– Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks using various preparation techniques and equipment
– Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
– Maintain inventory and manage storage and supplies.
– Maintain a clean and organized workspace
– Ensure customer satisfaction by catering to guests’ needs
– Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages

What we need from you:
– Skill and confidence in operating and maintaining coffee equipment
– Experience in high quality, high volume environments
– Good energy and a genuine love for coffee AND people
– Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
– Experience in handling cash and credit transactions
– Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand on your feet for up to 7-8 hours per day
– Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus
– Willingness to learn about different coffees and brewing techniques

Experience:
– Customer Service: 1 year ( Preferred)
– Barista experience: 1 year (Required)

Work Commencement: Late September/Early October
Shift Availability: Monday to Friday, between 7am and 5pm. Weekends as required.
