Bean & Bean Coffee is a family-owned specialty coffee company founded by Jiyoon and her mother Rachel. Both Jiyoon and Rachel are Q Arabica Graders and International Jurors for the Cup of Excellence. We bring the world’s best coffees to our customers and make it a priority to support women-owned farms to bridge the gender equity gap in the coffee industry.

Barista Position: $16–19/hour + tips
Immediate openings available at our FiDi café.

Ideal Candidate:
– A passion for specialty coffee and hospitality
– Availability 30-40 hours/week (ideally closer to 40 hours/week)
– Experienced in espresso, latte art, and pour-over
– A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
– Friendly, outgoing, and eager to grow within the coffee industry

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide exceptional customer service at the cashier and front-of-house
– Brew espresso-based beverages, make filter coffee, and prepare pour-overs
– Daily maintenance routine to keep specialty coffee equipment in tip top shape
– Share the story behind Bean & Bean’s carefully sourced beans with customers
– Assemble simple food offerings, including sandwiches and warming pastries
– Maintain a clean and organized café, including regular sanitation of equipment
– Restock inventory and ensure the café is well-stocked throughout the day
