Job Description

Upstate Stock is a local coffee shop that also carries a variety of local pantry goods, snacks, gifts and clothing. Our coffee is roasted by Superlost and our matcha sourced from Kettl. We are looking for a part time barista who is kind, hard working and a team player. Start date would be 7/18. Training shifts and some extra shifts are available before then.

Since we’re located across the street from the McCarren Park Tennis Courts and Vital Climbing Gym, we have a lot of regulars from there. We’ve been open for 10 years and are beloved in the neighborhood. Our staff is kind and hard working and we’ve had very little turnover.

-2 years of high volume specialty coffee experience preferred. Third wave/specialty coffee shop (proficient in dialing, latte art, operating the espresso machine)
-Great with customers and coworkers
-Punctual and reliable
-Comfortable with high-volume coffee / retail sales
-Able to help receive orders and stock retail inventory.

Shifts: Part time 2 day a week availability. Sunday is one of the available shifts. The other shift will be decided by the time of the interview. Flexible extra shifts coverage when you’re able would be appreciated. We try our best to cover for each other when taking time off work.

Pay: $18/hour starting pay. $19/hour following positive review after 3 month training period. Card tips can range from $10-$18/hour
