Experienced Barista – Join Our Team!

ENLY is a woman-owned specialty coffee shop in Nolita, known for our creative drinks and warm atmosphere. We’re not just about serving coffee—we’re about building a community where customers feel welcome and inspired. Our mission is to craft exceptional beverages, from signature (tiramisu)lattes and matcha drinks to house-made syrups, while creating a space that celebrates connection and positivity.

We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Barista to join our team. (Minimum 2 years specialty coffee experience) The ideal candidate will be warm, professional, and passionate about creating a memorable coffee experience. You will provide exceptional service and craft premium coffee beverages in a high-volume environment.

About Your Role
Responsible for creating a positive experience for every customer. The role involves a combination of customer service, beverage preparation, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
The Barista acts in accordance with the company’s mission and values, and consistently follows our standard operating procedures and hospitality goals.
No Health Insurance provided.

Core Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, provide recommendations, and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Beverage & Food Preparation: Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, matcha beverages, and specialty drinks with consistency and care. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment. Assist with pastries and our candles.
ENLY Menu & Syrups: Learn and master the ENLY signature menu and house-made syrup preparation to ensure quality and consistency across all drinks.

Cash Handling & POS: Accurately process transactions and operate the POS system.

Maintenance & Cleanliness: Keep the workspace clean, restock supplies, and follow all health and safety standards.

Inventory Support: Assist with restocking and tracking supplies such as beans, milk, cups, and other essentials.

Key Skills & Qualifications

-Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
-Passion for coffee, matcha, and café culture.
-Latte art skills required (must be able to consistently pour basic designs such as hearts, tulips, and rosettas)
-Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
-Strong teamwork and communication skills
-Reliability and punctuality are a must
-Valid NYC Food Handler’s License required (or ability to obtain upon hiring)

Physical Requirements
-Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
-Full time: 4–5 shifts per week | Part time: minimum 3 shifts per week
-Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
-Comfortable with physical activity such as reaching, bending, and moving equipment/supplies

Compensation
-$22/hour + tips (after trial period)
