Baristas & All-Rounders — Milkweed Studio (Nolita, NYC)

About Milkweed Studio
Milkweed Studio is a new specialty coffee space opening in the heart of Nolita.
Inspired by transformation and the daily ritual of coffee, we’re creating a space that feels calm and intentional, with a strong focus on community — a place where people can slow down, connect, and enjoy a beautiful cup.

Our coffee is roasted in NYC (by us) and guided by a simple philosophy: quality, warmth, and care in every detail. We’re now assembling our opening team and looking for individuals who take pride in their craft and enjoy making people’s days a little better.

Positions Available

Barista

Pay: $18–$19/hr + tips (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

– Prepare and serve espresso and filter coffee to a high standard
– Maintain workflow and cleanliness across the bar
– Support opening and closing procedures
– Engage guests with attentiveness and warmth

Cashier / All-Rounder

Pay: $16/hr + tips

Responsibilities:

– Take and process guest orders at the register
– Handle POS and cash transactions accurately
– Assist with food and drink service
– Keep the front-of-house organized and welcoming
– Support the barista team where needed

About You

– Previous café or hospitality experience preferred (specialty coffee a plus)
– Excellent communication and attention to detail
– Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
– Calm and friendly under pressure
– NYC Food Handler’s Certificate preferred (not required)

Start Date: Mid November 2025

Hours: Approx. 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (rotating schedule)

Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time
