About Kinhfolk:

Kinhfolk is a Vietnamese coffee shop in Brooklyn dedicated to showcasing Vietnamese coffee culture through Vietnamese specialty beans and creative drinks. We’re looking for an experienced barista who genuinely cares about coffee, craft, hospitality, and bringing people together.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso, Vietnamese coffee, matcha, and Kinhfolk signature drinks to the highest standards of quality and consistency
• Confidently guide customers through unique menu offerings
• Confidently pour latte art (hearts, tulips)
• Accurately operate the POS system and handle transactions responsibly
• Refill supplies and ingredients throughout service as needed
• Support opening and closing duties: including inventory checks, equipment cleaning, and restocking
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times, following NYC Department of Health standards

Who we are looking for:
• Minimum 1-2 years of barista experience in a high-volume café
• Skilled in dialing in espresso, steaming milk, and with knowledge of Vietnamese Phin brewing (hand batch brew)
• Energetic, punctual, warm personality, with the ability to multitask
• Interest in  Vietnamese coffee culture
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 40 lbs
• Flexible schedule, available to work weekends, last-minute shift coverage, and special events if needed.
• NYC Food Handler Certificate (or willing to obtain)

Compensation:

$18-20 / an hour + tips
