Part-Time Barista

We’re looking for someone to join the team at Anew Café & Goods.
Anew is a social impact action lab and discovery center in the West Village. We host interactive events and workshops, run an accelerator program for nonprofits, and operate a retail lab featuring ethically sourced coffee and mission‑driven goods.
The café is open seven days a week and serves ethically sourced coffee alongside a curated selection of retail items. In this role, you’ll work as both a barista and a sales guide, learning the stories behind the products we carry and sharing them with guests. You’ll help create a warm, intentional experience that reflects our mission and values.

$21 p/hour for experienced baristas (plus tips)

How to Apply

• Experienced barista with strong technical skills •Someone who believes in what we’re building and brings an “us over me” mindset to work • Confident dialing in espresso and maintaining consistency throughout the day • Great latte art skills and pride in beverage presentation • Works clean. Keeps bar, café, and shared spaces tidy, organized, and guest‑ready at all times • NYC Food Handler’s Card is a plus. You will be asked to get one. • Warm, chatty, and positive. Someone who genuinely enjoys talking with customers and creating an environment people want to return to • Comfortable selling and sharing the stories behind our ethically sourced goods • Must have weekend availability
