THE ELK- West Village is looking for a motivated and charismatic individual to join our team!

We specialize in coffee drinks of the highest quality and also serve delicious breakfast and lunch items. In addition, we carry a variety of pastries, fresh juices, groceries, and home products. We are seeking experienced and friendly baristas with the following qualities :
– Experience working in a busy cafe and fast-paced environment (detail training undergone, if applicable)
– Specialty coffee training (dialing in, latte art, maintaining quality)
– Organized and detail oriented
– Punctual and On Time for Shifts
– Fast learner and self-motivated
– Takes Initiative
– Proficient in Online Ordering Tablets (ie: Doordash/Caviar)
– Experience with Square Register POS
– Ability to multi task and self start
– Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, having a respectful manner amongst all team members
– Possess ability to pro-actively work on a team and share responsibilities
– Excellent customer service, communication skills and ability to enhance overall guest experience

The general job requirements are as follows:
– Must have a NYC food handler’s license*** (Please do not reply to this position if you do not have one)
– 2+ years barista experience, competent in latte art and high traffic/volume environment
– Commitment of 3 shifts per week minimum (opportunity for more shifts to be discussed)
– MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
– Must be ok with early morning hours and be punctual. (Cafe hours are 8am-6pm daily)
– Holiday availability if needed.

$18/hr + tips (cash & card)
