Nestled in the heart of West Village, Chalait will be the neighborhood café serving up our signature line of matcha green tea beverages, specialty coffee and teas as well as light breakfast and lunch options. Chalait is currently recruiting for experienced baristas to join our opening team on a part-time or full-time basis. We are looking for outgoing individuals with great customer service skills who are passionate about coffee, tea and food.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Brewing, serving and talking about coffee and tea
• Maintaining a clean, professional and inviting atmosphere
• Operate the register/POS system efficiently
• Attend paid coffee and tea training

Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of barista and/or café experience a must
• Comfortable working in a busy/high volume environment
• Exceptional communication and hospitality skills
• Passionate about specialty coffee and tea
• High school diploma
• Available on weekends and holidays
• NYC Food Safety Handlers Certificate is a plus
