Short Grain is a new café opening soon in the heart of Downtown Jersey City. Located right next to City Hall, we will be crafting specialty coffee beverages and food. We are currently looking for baristas to join our morning team on a full-time and part-time basis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Interacting with customers on a daily basis to take and fulfill orders
• Carefully crafting beverages to order
• Efficient operation of the Point of Sale (POS) System
• Educating customers on different origins and brewing methods
• Calibrating and maintaining equipment for proper extraction

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in a café or as a barista
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Passion for specialty coffee, tea, and food
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Available on weekends, nights, and holidays
• ServSafe Certification is a plus
• Great personality and customer service skills
• Experience operating commercial espresso machines, properly steaming milk, and latte art
• Previous experience with Counter Culture Coffee products is a plus
